A MailSafe System includes an electron beam accelerator and/or a high-powered X-ray and a patented material handling system. With the ability to target the beam and control the dosage required to treat the mail, effective sterilization can be assured. Titan adapts the MailSafe System to a customer's facility or constructs a new facility for the company.
Electron beam technology is simple and safe. The figures below depict the operation of an electron beam system. Electrons are stripped from normal electrical current and accelerated down a waveguide or barrel. An oscillating magnet at the end scans the electron flow into a single beam which is then fanned up and down to treat material. Electrons disrupt the DNA chain of any microorganisms on the mail, either destroying them or preventing their reproduction. In this manner, the biohazard is eliminated and mail is immediately safe to handle and distribute.
