The PrecisionScan 3000 Electron Beam System uses a simple “flow through” concept so that products are continuously moved through the electron beam at a defined processing rate and scan height. Based upon equipment set points in the processing protocol referred to as the recipe, the desired dose is uniformly delivered to the target area. |

2 Linear Accelerators (Linacs) are mounted vertically opposing each other with an off-set, and produce two electron beams at 10 MeV each. They will operate at 15 kW each (30 kW total) to achieve the production throughput rate.
A dual lane or single lane roller type conveyor system is used to convey products to and from the processing area. |
